Trouble Installing event list extension
January 03, 2014, 12:49:09 pm
Using CiviCRM 4.4.3 and Joomla 3.2.0 I am trying to install the event list plugin.

I attempted to install using instructions at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Extensions which suggest that the procedure to install 3rd party extensions is to upload them to the configured extensions directory and upzip them.  It says that after doing so the extension will appear in the list of extensions with a link to install.

I have done this, uploading the package file and unzipping it on the server.  But the extension is not visible in either the list of installed extensions or the list of downloadable extensions.

What might I be doing wrong here?

thanks
Christopher

Are you trying to install a CiviCRM native extension - I couldn't find one called "event list" or a Joomla plugin?

The instructions you refer to are for CiviCRM native extensions.  You will need to refer to Joomla documentation if you are referring to a Joomla specific product.
