Hey everyone, I'm just reading through my notes from CiviCon in London and noted one about an extension being released to allow for images in contacts. Did this ever happen? i can't seem to find it.

Not sure what you mean... contact image is a core field.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

Dunno then… I have never noticed it being a core field either. I'm sure someone said something!

The field itself is a core field, but there was an extension discussed to make it more usable -- by allowing one to crop uploaded images.

Ahhh, that was probably it. Has this been put into the directory? I couldn't seem to find it, but I was looking for the wrong thing!

My bad! Thanks for the reminder.

I haven't had much time to improve it (ex: enable on custom fields, add more documentation), but feedback and feature requests are most welcome (as far as I know, the extension works well for the initial user who requested the feature).

Edit: I have not enabled the "automatic distribution" (e.g. install directly from CiviCRM), since it has not received enough feedback yet.
