Graphing Function with Survey
January 06, 2014, 12:24:43 pm
Does anyone have experience with integrating a graphing function into surveys?  I have a client requesting a time bid on that and the people I have talked with say it can be very difficult.

Here is the customer request-

"Ability to create surveys. Tabulation of survey responses, with graphs. Ability to
export data to spreadsheet and to print survey tabulations, including graphs."

Hi Julie,

Will the surveys be completed by known CiviCRM contacts, or by anonymous site visitors?

If it's for known CiviCRM contacts, CiviSurvey might be your choice for entering and tracking the data, but I believe you'd need to write custom reports (which can be made to show bar charts or pie charts) to get the visualizations you want.

If it's for anonymous site visitors, and if it's a Drupal site, you might want to look at the Webform and Webform_charts modules.

Thanks for the suggestions Allan.  I believe it will be for known contacts that are part of the membership, but need to verify that.

I /think/ it's part of CiviCampaign; can anyone confirm that?
