sending emails to Mailing List
January 17, 2014, 12:09:04 am
I have domain that has civicrm installed on it.

To give you an example of the problem I am facing:

I have a mailing list created on my cpanel domain as sybatest@example.org that has around 5 contacts with different email ids.

I have created a contact in civicrm as syba with email address sybatest@example.org (same as the mailing list name above) and added that to a mailing list group called "test" in civicrm

When I schedule a mass mailing to this group containing this one address i.e. sybatest@example.org, the email should be sent to all the contacts in this list right? Please correct me if I am wrong. But that does not happen.

Note: When I send this mail as a direct "send email to contact" to sybatest@example.org the mail is sent to the all the 5 contacts within this mailing list.

Hence it makes me wonder more as to why it is sending directly to the mailing list and not being able to send via scheduled mass mailing.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Vids
