Joomla - Backend - DB Error: no database selected
January 17, 2014, 08:16:22 am
Hi!

I hope somebody can help me. I installed civicrm 4.4.3 on a joomla 2.5. The installer told me a succesfull installation. When i try to open civicrm in backend the page is long loading and after that i get "Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment. DB Error: no database selected" message.

I checked the civicrm.settings.php and they are correct.

Frontend open civicrm:

"Your Contribution(s)

Your Pledge(s)
There are no Pledges for your record.

Your Membership(s)

Any idea

Are you fully authorised for the database? And can your CiviCRM user access the civicrm.settings file?

Your hoster should be able to help you with this when you ask the questions. It is hard to tell you how to check if you do not really know what you are checking for :-)
