Activate Plugin -> error
January 17, 2014, 09:14:38 pm
Hi all,

I'm getting the following error when I try to activate the plugin:

Quote
Warning: require_once(CRM/Core/ClassLoader.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mltawa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php on line 312

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'CRM/Core/ClassLoader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mltawa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php on line 312

(the website is mltawa)

WordPress Version 3.8
MySQL 5.5.32
PHP 5.4.22
Permissions are set to 777 for the civicrm folder and files folder (temporarily!)

I have no idea how to interpret this error message, or what might be missing / what I'm doing wrong with the install. Trawling Google results isn't helping either - I hope that someone here can!

OK, so now I'm kicking myself for not trying this earlier, but the simple solutions are always the ones you try last... Like finding your keys in the last place you look! Hopefully if someone else encounters this error, though, they'll be able to find that they're not alone.

I simply deactivated all of my plugins, activated and installed CiviCRM, and then re-activated the plugins one-by-one. The error has not appeared again.

The plugins I had (in a fresh install) were:
- Akismet
- CiviEvent Widget
- Google Analytics Dashboard
- Ultimate Google Analytics
- User Access Manager
- WP Super Cache

Phew! Now I can get on to working on the membership database! :)
