CiviDiscount 2.5 discounting all fields in a price set
January 18, 2014, 02:15:46 pm
CiviDiscount 2.5 seems to not to be honoring the selected price set fields set up for a discount code. I've used CiviDiscount before, but with individual price set items.

I have an event with several price set fields, one of which is a radio button to select the registration type:
Full (Member Price)
Full (Non-Member)
Limited (Member)
Limited (Non-Member)
Youth (Membe
... and so on.

I want to be able to set up a discount code for speakers that will discount the Full registration price by 100%. I've selected the event, and the price set options corresponding to the Full Member and Full Non-Member registrations, but when I use the code, it discounts every line item by 100%.

Anyone else having this problem? Am I missing something obvious? (I have been looking at this project for too long.)

I am having the problem of discount being applied to all fields, yes.. Just posted about it in the big Discount Extension thread I found via a search..

Is there a bug tracker somewhere for this extension?

Awesomesauce, thanks for the heads up  :D

I am too busy trying to add partial payments for events to have spent any time debugging that  ;D

Just found this thread after hunting around to find out why my install of Cividiscount 2.5 wouldn't support discounting on specific fields in a price set. Now I know that the new version 2.5 is not the same as the old version 2.5.

Hey, here's a thought - why not call it version 2.6 then we'll all know it's changed? Seriously, what are the rules on version numbering?

Glad my discounting now works :-)
