Hey everybody, so I've been importing a large batch of dues information for my non-profit's membership and I've been trying to wrap my head around this issue.  We keep track of when a member first joined or was 'initiated'.  Then we have monthly dues.  The Initiation date was a column in the member contact .csv that I imported, but it is not included in the .csv with the dues information.  So when I import the dues information, it sets the 'Member Since' date to the start of the monthly dues, not when the member actually joined.

I tried to import a .csv file that would match to a members external identifier and update the 'member since' field, however it won't let me upload it without dues information like 'membership start date' and 'membership type'.

Any thoughts on how to set the 'member since date' to our 'initiated date' or is there a way to remove the 'member since date' from the views for memberships and replace it with the custom field I made for 'initiated date'?  Ideally I would just set a single 'Joined on' Date in the member's 'contact' and it would carry over into the 'member since' field in 'memberships'.

And I fixed the 'end' date issues as well - I needed to set the rollover date to the end of the month, otherwise civicrm would automatically count a 'membership' for the month it was paid plus whatever was set in the 'duration' setting in the 'membership type.'
