Automating membership price set based on date
January 20, 2014, 08:08:11 am
Hello,

I've looking for a way to automatically offer a 50% discount to member joining between a certain dates.I know that we can set a start and end date to a price set but I'd like to automate this so there is no need to re create the price set every year.

Does CiviDiscount cover this use case (it is not listed in CiviDiscount doc.)? If not how will you address this use case?

Thanks

Donald Lobo

Thanks lobo for your answer. I think mentionning CiviDiscount was misleading from my end.

I think membership price set are what I am looking for. I will define a price set for
  • full membership price going from Jan 01 to June 30
  • discounted membership from July 31 to Dec 31

However the current settings make the year value mandatory for the price set start and end date (for example from Jan 01 2014 to June 30 2014.) Is it possible to set only the day and month, so price set doesn't need to be corrected yearly?
