CiviHR installed on donor database w/o a backup - How to back out the changes?
February 05, 2014, 10:18:07 am
We have a client who installed CiviHR without taking a backup of the db. Due to their hosting package their db is also not regularly backed up.

Then they disabled CiviHR since they were not planning to use it immediately and we were asked to look into a couple of things had been changed that didn't get undone or backed out when the extension was installed.

1) The Household content type was disabled which we enabled again via the database.
2) "New Contact >> Household"  menu item was removed. Rebuilding the menu does not bring it back.
(I can easily insert this one in the db using another site's entry as the template and adjust the ids as necessary.)

Others things - not sure? Due to the unfortunate lack of a backup I can't compare the before and after databases although we could test the same install/disable/uninstall on another test database and find the changes that way. To save them some money/time I was hoping someone with more knowledge of the project could give me a heads up on what to look for?

A lot of components are also deactivated with CiviHR installation; one can reenable via the UI settings.

Well, one thing I have not been able to undo from my own abortive attempt to install and uninstall CiviHR:

Everything in my installation has been renamed CiviHR (from CiviCRM).
So for example, Dashboard page at the top: "CiviHR Home" and at the bottom: "Powered by CiviHR 4.4.4. CiviHR is openly available under the GNU AGPL License. Download CiviHR.     View issues and report bugs.     Online documentation."

This is just annoying. I have searched the source code of all template and custom template pages, have not found it yet.  Anyone know where this variable is held so I can change it?

Thanks!
