Multisite Org Access Control for Admins in WP
February 08, 2014, 09:17:46 am
Hi,

I have started exploring using a WP Multisite with CiviCRM Multisite for chapters based organizations. I have setup and configured the main site & one subsite and can access CiviCRM from both. Now I'm looking into the ACLs and how to restrict a contact for a chapter or sub-site to only it's own group of contacts. For that, I've installed https://civicrm.org/extensions/multisite-permissioning. After installing it I see how I can associate the organization for the sub-site to the Chapter but not how to restrict the contacts.

When looking at the WordPress Access Control permissions there are two things that pop out to me. One is there is only the option to configure permissions for Editors, Authors, Contributors, Subscribers & Anonymous users, not Administrators. After installing the Multisite Permission extension there is a new permission labelled: CiviCRM: administer Multiple Organizations but I have no way of applying this to administrators from what I can see. I'm also not able to select that option using a WP permissions editor.

I am attaching screenshots of the WP Access Control options in CiviCRM and the New Permission for MultiOrg. I think that's what I am missing to be able to configure the ACLs for the sub-site. If not, please advice.

Thanks!

Dana
