ACL acting strange
February 11, 2014, 12:32:44 am
After upgrading to 4.4.3 my ACL's have started acting weird. I have a role called 'Editor' and this role has about 10 groups of contacts (and all the 10 groups have a total of 20k contacts).
Now , if i give the Editor access to an additional group (to make it 11groups), the system automatically limits the number of contacts for this role, that is, from 20k to about 1k but the editor sees all 11groups, and if i remove the newly added group, the editor sees again all the 20k contacts in the 10groups.

Before upgrade, the Editor didn't have the 'edit all contacts' and 'view all contacts' permissions but after the upgrade it requires these permissions to view all contacts in the groups if i add any new group.

I do not want to use the 'edit all contacts ' and 'view all contacts' permissions for the editor group.

Has anyone encountered this strange behavior????

this seems to happen to all my groups that do not have the  'edit all contacts' and 'view all contacts' permissions.

I am still having this problem, can't find any error messages in my log file related to this problem.
Existing ACLs are working but as soon as i assign a new group of contacts to an existing ACL group, the contacts become immediately limited to this access group. that is from maybe 20k to about 1k, though all groups remain visible.

Just noticed this warning also in my recent log messages from one user:
Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in CRM_Core_Permission::ufGroupValid() (line 262 of /sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Permission.php).
