I have created a group called "Board of Directors' to display a directory. There is one contact in that group that shows in the directory twice for some reason. I deleted him from the group and he no longer showed in the directory at all (confirming he doesn't have two records, as I only deleted the group from one record) and when I re-added him to the group, he appeared in the directory twice again.

Any ideas?

Could he have two current employer relationships or two primary addresses/phones/emails? Double of any of those can sometimes cause strange problems

Yep the latter is definitely one to look for though you may not see it through the ui - best to check in db directly using his civiid in the civicrm_address or _email or _phone tables

Only one work relationship. He had two phone numbers, so I deleted one, but still the same issue. He only has one address. I double checked via the DB and nothing extra I could find there in the address, phone or email tables. I also checked his contact_id in the group table to ensure he was only listed in there once, and he is...
