Unable to translate several Names of / Links to Custom Searches
February 17, 2014, 07:54:07 am
Dear All,

I was trying to translate the Links to the custom searches which can be found here:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search/custom/list?reset=1

For some reasons I was able do translate some strings but could not find the following ones on transifex:
» Contribution Aggregate
» Basic Search
» Postal Mailing
» Event Aggregate
» Activity Search
» Price Set Details for Event Participants
» Zip Code Range
» Date Added to CiviCRM
» Full-text Search

Any Ideas? Should I post an issue on JIRA?

Best Regards
Fabian

Hi Fabian,

Those strings are from configurations (similar to "individual prefixes", "phone types", etc) and seem to have a default value set during the installation (ex: if the initial civicrm installation was made directly in German).

In Transifex, the strings get extracted in the "common-base" resource, and seem to be there.

You should also be able to change the title/description of the report from Administration -> Customize Data and Screens -> Manage Custom Searches.

If none of that works, please let me know, and I will to trace it. I have to admit that I don't use custom searches a lot, so I am not 100% sure how the internationalisation of those configurations work.

Dear Mathieu,

sorry for getting back to this so late. I was able to translate the terms via  Administration -> Customize Data and Screens -> Manage Custom Searches I looked in the option groups and wasn't aware this menu existed...

In addition, I was now also able to find them on transifex - no idea why I wasn't able to do so before - I swear I was really looking for it :)

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Best Regards from Germany
Fabian
