Embed CiviEvent RSS Feed in CiviMail

Title pretty much says it all - we'd like to pull the current list of events from the CiviEvent RSS feed and have them auto-update in an outgoing newsletter. Has anyone managed this with custom tokens or another plugin?

This site is running Civi 4.4x and Joomla 3.x
