Getting rid of the cents - so $50.00 shows as $50

I looked in Localization where settings for currency sit but couldn't spot any options for turning cents off. Is there a way for doing this - ideally at the Event or Contribution Page set up stage.
I don't find it a good look to be asking people to donate $500.00 or $1000.00 - it looks cluttered and the amounts look bigger in my view than if they are dollar only amounts.
Or should i be using $499.99 instead?  ;)

There is no way to do this via configuration. There's an issue posted for this for 2.1 - but not sure it will get done then. The issue does demonstrate the change needed to make this happen though:

For anyone interested in the solution, under global settings>localization change the Monetary Value Display to "%!.0i"
