eWay Payment processor returns error when cookies turned off
February 25, 2014, 02:08:38 am
I have been trying to track down an error being displayed to end users which was only happening intermittently. The error occurs when a user makes a payment using the eWay payment processor and their browser does not allow cookies. It happens when the return XML is received and after everything has been correctly processed.

Finally a user who experienced the error had the good sense to read it and let me know the content. It seems that when a payment is processed everything is completed correctly with the minor exception that the user is presented with an error. This leads them to believe the transaction has not succeeded and they promptly pay again.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue and if so is there a fix for it?

Regards
