Hey! I just tried to install civiCRM on a MediaTemple gridserver account - but I'm getting stopped during the install because of the max MySQL thread stack is set to low.

Does MySQL thread_stack meet minimum (192k)   MySQL "thread_stack" is 128k

To adjust the thread stack I would need to add an MySQL container, which would be an additional $20/mo minimum.  Is there anyway around the thread stack error?

MediaTemple is already more than most other economy hosts and I really can't justify an additional $20/mo cost.

If there is no workaround for that hosting environment what other hosts should I look at?
