Search Employee of from front end Joomla profile

Hi
I have a profile set up for teachers, and I am trying to allow them to pick thier school out of a list of all the schools in the country, which we have imported as organizations into civicrm. In the Civicrm backend, the 'employee of' field does a search using a type-ahead method and easily allows you to find the school. Is there any way to replicate this behavior in a front-end Joomla profile?
