Is there a way to have civicrm contact infos in the mails about new users?
March 10, 2014, 06:11:02 am
Hi,

Small issue that I didn't realise was less than optimal until I was on a project where I manage the users:

I have enabled a profile on new accounts creation to collect extra info (first name, last name...) when a user registers.

However, when I receive the drupal notification of a new user to be approved, it only contains the drupal info (eg. the username) but no civicrm info.

Is there a way to get the information from civicrm too? I thought about putting the notification from the profile in civi, but then I loose the convenient direct link to the user edit form.

How do you do that?

What method are you using to have these notification emails sent?

The normal drupal one (as in, I have no memory of having done any setting, so that must exclude rules or other extra modules).

Emails for new user registrations is not built in, AFAIK, so someone set it up. Look for Rules/Actions for this and probably there is the template for the email there.

Maybe talk to Eileen.

On our 4.2 and 4.4 sites we can include many civicrm contact tokens in those drupal emails.

(Although I can only do it in Chrome. I have just discovered that trying to access them when I am in Firefox on my home computer always crashes the browser.)
