Multiple Custom Fields
March 11, 2014, 10:55:25 am
I am creating a custom set of fields we want to collect for cases, however I can find a way to have a repeating section like you can have for profiles. I need to track court charges associated with a case and there may be a variable number of charges that need to be tracked with one case. Is it possible to set up custom fields for a case that allow the user to add multiple sets of that data?

Attached is a screenshot that is an example of what I am wanting to do, this is for profiles however and not cases.

Have you considered and decided against using an Activity which seems an ideal solution for this to me.

I did look at using activities, we just wanted to try to leave it in the case section as the information is always known at the time of the case being opened. The charges don't occur during the time the case is opened but before it is opened.

Maybe record them as activities and then once you open the case use the File On Case action to file the activities on the case?
