Icons in Backend missing
March 16, 2014, 06:10:46 am
Hello all,

tried to install civiCRM V 4.2.16 on my local server with the following software environment:

Xampp 1.8.3
Apache 2.4.7
PHP 5.5.9
MySQL 5.6.16

After installing civiCRM, the backend looks like the attached pic.

Also tried to install 4.4.4 (after uninstalling 4.2.16), also not working.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Torsten

Your css file is not loading. Check the page source (ctrl-U in firefox) and then ctrl-f to search try to find "civicrm.css". My guess is that your resource base is set incorrectly and it ls looking in the wrong place for the file.
PS Unless you have some special reason to be 2 versions behind, I recommend 4.4 instead of 4.2.

Thanks for your quick reply. You are right, the css files are in a completely different directory (see civicrm_screen.png).
If I copy the css-directory over to the path shown in the picture, it looks like the second attachment "civicrm_screen_2.png".
How can I fix this ?
I´ve installed the 4.2.16 for testing only, once fixed I will update to 4.4.4
Thanks
Torsten

Many thanks again for your help. All seems working fine for the moment.
And I also have another question: does civiCRM also work on Windows Home Server 2011 ? Also installed in on WHS but the performance is not really good. All other services on WHS really work fast, e.g. file copies are really fast.
Regards
Torsten
