Hey all,

I'm using the profile-create mode on a 4.4.4 website and when I use the profile-create mode it pops out a window as a full URL that the user will see. I then use this specific URL to then link on the front end as the page stands because it's nice and official looking (the html snippets comes are rather different and quite amateur looking). The problem is that now on my old 4.4.3 site when I use the profile-create mode it brings up what the fields look like but still within the backend. Is there a way to force it to display the behavior of the 4.4.4 site?

yeah I could just upgrade but I'm worried I might mess up the current database if I do. And further to that, I'm not sure if it's the version that is the cause of the behavior or a configuration issue...

Okay, yes it does indeed seem to be some joomla voodoo. What was happening is (and again I'm not sure if it's civicrm versioning because joomla is the exact same version and it was replicated from the older civicrm version website) that the "administrator" URL piece was being kept on the older site, so just removing that and leaving the link behind goes to the frontend version. Not sure why it was doing this but my life just got a whole span easier . Tnx for the quick responses though petednz!
