civiCRM for other CMS
March 17, 2014, 03:24:52 am
Hi,
just a few days ago I got to know about civiCRM, downloaded, installed and played a little bit around with it. As far as I've seen civiCRM seams to meet our needs.

I used Drupal to have a first look at civiCRM. But as we use another CMS named Contao (a German source), I wonder how difficould it would be to adopt civiCRM to another CMS like Contao and what kind of knowledge would be needed for achieving that.

Contao is a modern and powerful though easy to use CMS supported by an active community (localy and international). It can be extended at no limits by its extension module.

Thanks for any reply
Christian

Are you asking because you would like to do the work? Or are you wishing to pay someone else to do the work?
The 3 CMSs CiviCRM integrates with are WP, Joomla & Drupal; they are the top 3 on this list: http://w3techs.com/technologies/overview/content_management/all
Contao is #31 on the list, so I think it's very unlikely to be our next integration project.

Also, check in with Nicolas Ganivet (nganivet here, I believe).  He's done some work that he says will make integration with any CMS very easy.  Since he maintains the standalone version of CiviCRM, I believe him!
