Searching by contribution ID
March 17, 2014, 07:56:58 am
Hello!

Does anyone know of a way to search by contribution ID? We use these when importing/exporting updates to thank you information on a contribution, and it would be helpful to be able to quickly reference the contribution if needed.

Thanks!

-Jessica

You can search by contribution Id in the search builder but that will only give you a link to the contact who made the contribution, not the actually contribution.

If you know the contact id XXX and the contribution id YYY you could substitute directly into the line:

https://yourorganisationswebsite/civicrm/contact/view/contribution?reset=1&id=YYY&cid=XXX&action=view&context=contribution&selectedChild=contribute

but doesn't really fit the "quickly reference" requirement.
