[Resolved] Permissions for Anon to see membership form?

I'm trying to publish my first contribution page on our development system.

It's a membership registration form which (hopefully) also creates a Drupal User - so needs to be accessible by anonymous visitors to the website. We don't want people to have to create an account first, especially as we have had moderated account creation until now.

After getting an error message and discounting all other posibilities mentioned, I figured that Drupal permissions were the problem. Enabling "CiviCRM: profile listings and forms" for anon has made the form appear. Is there anything else that this permission enables which we wouldn't want to happen?

Also our custom fields attached to the membership type are not appearing. They are important at the registration stage. How do I make them appear?

enable
- access all custom data

it isn't as scary as it sounds so long as they don't have 'access civicrm' ;)

Yep - another "find the right documentation 10 minutes after posting in the forum" moment.
