[Resolved] Custom fields in batch entry?

Is it possible to specify that a custom field (attached to memberships) be included in a batch entry? It's a member ID code which gets manually created, and it would be nice not to have to train the membership secretary how to use csv import, and even noicer not to have to visit each new record to set the field.

yes
- create custom membership field
- create Profile for memberships with above fields
- go to Find Memberships, select your memberships, then go to Batch Update via Profile, then select the Profile you made above, then you should see your Custom Memb Field

Did you try that already? I just tested on demo and it works fine

Are you asking about contributions or memberships entered via the batch data entry screens?

If your batch type is membership you can add a custom membership field by going to Administer > Customize Data and Screens > Profiles > Reserved Profiles

If your batch type is contribution you can't add a membership custom field, only a contribution (and perhaps contact) custom field.

Thank you Joanne, that worked fine. I managed to remove some unwanted fields like soft credit too.
