Contact activity tab showing "2" - activity list shows "no matches found"

Hello all,

As the title says, a contact is showing they have 2 activities related to their account but when clicking on the tab itself, it reports "No matches found". I've gone into the database and have found the two activities. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be displaying? Does anyone have any suggestions where to start looking?

What type of activities are they?

In 4.4.4 bulk emails will not show on the activities tab, but the count on the tab will include them. See http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,31810.msg136262.html#msg136262 for more details

I suspect they are bulk emails. I'll have a look.
