Good Day lads,

I followed all the instructions for installing CiviCRM onto my Dreamhost WP install. All installs match requirements. I changed permissions on the folders.

I cannot see the civicdm plugin.

And I do not see two civicdm folders. I do not understand how these folders should be nested:
You should now have a /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/civicrm directory containing civicrm.php, README.txt and another civicrm directory (which in turn contains bin, CRM, sql, templates, etc.).

My civicdm dir in the wp-plugin dir has the bin and sql files. Is there another civicdm dir that is in the wrong place? I uploaded and untarred the folders on the server using shell access.

Thank you for answering my post. The download file was linked incorrectly on the CiviCRM installation page. I have now downloaded the files to the proper directories...but I am having a problem on the Settings>CiviCRM Installer. The Settings page will not accept my database credentials. I have two databases created and the setup Installer will not login to either database. I can loving using the Wordpress MySQL PHPAdmin page.

What could the issue be? I will search the knowledge base. Thanks again!

I contacted the web host and between us we got the MySQL issue sorted. I have a successful install. Thank you.
