Way to MANUALLY enter event registrant and their payment
March 20, 2014, 11:58:12 pm
We have an event setup and people are registering and paying via credit card or EFT.  Some would like to send in a check or pay in cash in advance and we can then MANUALLY enter them as registered and paid in the backend.

Or even another scenario, not require some to pay at all (we would like ability to override payment on backend).

Has anyone done this in CiviEvent?

If you select Enable Pay Later option? on the fees tab when configuring your event people can fill in their details online then send in payment via cheque or cash according to the instructions you specify in the Pay Later Instructions * text area.

You can then record their payment details through the UI when you have the (cleared?) cheque or cash.

With regard to free registrations for specific people you can do this also.

We use price sets for all our events so that we can have an optional admin only price field with various negative amounts as options (as some people may only have to pay three-quarters or half the fee and others none at all)

Selecting one of those options reduces the event fee and so lets you manually register people for free.
