Unable to set Extensions directory
March 24, 2014, 10:36:07 pm
I recently upgraded to CiviCRM 4.4.4 from 4.2 and, since the upgrade, I've been unable to configure CiviCRM to use any extensions directory. The directory I'm trying to set it to is:

/home/--site--/public_html/media/civicrm/extensions/

The permissions for the directory are:

--site--@--site--.org [~/public_html/media/civicrm]# ls -la
total 32
drwxr-xr-x  8 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  6 03:04 ./
drwxr-xr-x 27 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar 20 03:09 ../
drwxr-xr-x  2 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  8 14:25 ConfigAndLog/
drwxr-xr-x  2 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  6 01:02 custom/
drwxr-xr-x  7 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  6 03:08 extensions/
drwxr-xr-x  3 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  9 22:05 persist/
drwxrwxrwx  3 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  6 01:02 templates_c/
drwxr-xr-x  2 --site-- --site-- 4096 Mar  6 03:02 upload/

I also checked the database to see if there's anything in particular going on there. The extensionsDir record in civicrm_setting is set to s:11:"extensions/";.

Any thoughts? I'm flat out of ideas here.

When you try to set it via the regular web interface, what happens?

It says "changes saved", then drops me into the Administration screen. However, when I go back to the Directories page, the Extensions field remains empty.
