CiviCRM for managing micro-economies of 20 neighbors
March 26, 2014, 03:01:25 am
Yo!
Fresh user here :)

I'm using this to setup a micro economy in my street :)

I want every neighbor to be able to list what he can offer, i.e.:

I'm Adam, I live in Tel Aviv on Dizzengof street,
and let's say I have an electric-drill that I wanna offer for everyone who joins my micro economy.

So if someone logs in to the system, and he searches for "drills",
he can see my drill with my location.

Makes sense?
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Funky idea, I like it.

You might want to create a new activity "object offers", with the status "scheduled" until some completes the offer and takes it.

You probably can use tags to help define better what the products are. Try civicrm_webform to let the participants add new objects, should work.

As for the listing/searching, you probably will need to develop something specific using the api, or possibly with the view module and tuning.

Let us know how it goes.

Both of Xavier's ideas make sense. To note, they would require that you use Drupal, not WordPress.
