I recently manually migrated contact and custom field data from a Civi 3.4.8/Joomla install to a Civi 4.4.4/Wordpress install.  Most everything seems to be working correctly - contacts can be created and updated without trouble.  The only thing I've found that's not working is importing into custom fields. 

When I try to import standard contact fields only, they import fine.  When custom fields are included in the import, the import doesn't work.  It does get to the success screen, but it says that 0 contacts were imported.

A couple things I also noticed:

- When I uploaded only standard fields, it caught some county-state mismatches.  When custom fields were included in the upload, it didn't catch them;
- When custom fields were in the upload, the temporary import table didn't get created.  It did when only standard fields were imported.

Any ideas on what might be causing the issue?  Thanks in advance for the help.
