Hi everyone,

I am not sure if my issue is rather a feature request but I thought I would post it here as it is import related as well.

We are using CiviCRM in a localized German Version. I the settings one can set the date format to dd.mm.yyyy (the common German date format). Throughout CiviCRM this mostly works fine, e.g. dates are shown in the right format and when I export something (such as donations with a receive date field) the date column has the right format.

However, when I try to import anything with dates (such as an updated list of contributions or event registrations exported before) there is no corresponding option for the date format. I can select from a various formats but dd.mm.yyyy is not among them. Since it is necessary to do this rather frequently, re-formatting the date column is not a viable solution.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to deal with that or any hints on where to start? Do you think that including this format would be very complicated?
