Token for primary event registrant?
April 03, 2014, 12:59:26 pm
Since CiviEvent sends receipts to anyone for whom a ticket was purchased, even if they themselves did not do the purchasing, it would be nice to tell the recipients in the email the name of the mysterious benefactor who purchased their ticket! (In the "Events - Registration Confirmation and Receipt (on-line)" message).

However, neither {$paidBy} nor {$payer.name} produces any results. Is there another way to get the primary person's name to print on subsequent receipts? I feel like if I had a little more experience with Civi I could figure out a way to use the information in the $lineItem loop to set the ID to 1 and get the payer name, but I'm a little too much of a n00b here to sort that out. Any suggestions?
