Multiple Choice Options Limitation of 10

When adding a custom field I see that there is a limit of 10 Multiple Choice Options.  Wondering why that is and if it's something that could relatively easily be expanded.  I have a case where I need about 15 - 20 options.  Rarely would more than two or three be selected for any one record.

You can add as many multiple choice options as you like after the field is created by selecting "Edit Multiple Choice Options" next to the relevant custom field. 

I assume they limit to 10 on initial creation for performance reasons, though I'd be hard-pressed to see why that number couldn't be lifted - it's a very quick operation.  Maybe it's a UI thing?

Oh thanks.  I didn't realize that.  Maybe should be added to the text on the add field page if this restriction is maintained.
