This problem arose when our database manager was editing address information for contacts.  She repeatedly tried to change address information for some contacts and the database simply ignored the changes.  Other contacts were editable.  We tried completely deleting an uneditable contact and adding it back with no different result.  The only address information that was recorded in the database was the state field.   However, information placed in the supplemental address1 field was accepted by the database. We also tried adding a new address to the record with the same result.
