Contribution pages incorrectly autofilling multi-record custom fields
April 10, 2014, 07:36:20 am
We have a Contribution Page with a profile containing custom fields from a set that supports multiple records. The idea is that when people submit the page, a new record will be created in said set. This works fine, but there are a couple of display issues:
  • When a logged-in user views the page, the fields autofill with values from the most recent record in the set*. Is this meant to happen? I can override with javascript, but it seems odd.
  • The custom fields in the email receipt similarly show the values from the most recent record in the set*. I'm pretty sure this one's a bug.
Should I submit bug reports, or is there a good reason for either of these?

Cheers,

Andrew

*Update: ok sometimes it's the most recent record, and sometimes it's the first one. Always one or the other. Can't quite figure out how it's deciding.

Hmm, i dont think multi-records was supposed to be exposed in contrib/event pages. So seems like it leaked in there by mistake and hence u r getting the random behavior

If your org would like to support that work, it would be awesome. I suspect its a 20-40 hour project
