Civi Volunteer Form

I installed CiviVolunteer, I have set up my roles and shifts, but when I go to the form the role shows up but not the shift. If I click on save I get an error and then the shift dropdown shows up. But when I load the form it is not loading initially. Is there a known bug or fix for this?
