CiviContribute Form Displays Incorrectly
April 10, 2014, 07:54:51 pm
I am attempting to install CiviCRM into a Wordpress-based site and running into problems with the CiviContribute form display.  It appears to be inserting into the homepage template rather than a "blank" template - the "feature articles" are displayed at the top, followed by the CiviContribute form, followed by a chronological list of all posts just like the homepage.

I'm wondering if there is a way to do one of three things:
1.  Call the form into a page that I create using some sort of shortcode (similar to a widget), or
2.  Edit the CiviContribute page template so that all the extra junk is removed
3.  Some other option I'm not thinking of...

Here's a link to the problem page if you want to take a look.  http://renovatedsm.org/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/contribute/transact&reset=1&id=2

The form SHOULD display right below the site tagline and "JOIN" button, but instead the featured article pictures are inserted.  This doesn't happen on any other page.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

You should be able to set a 'WordPress Base Page' in the 'CMS Database Integration' options. Then create a blank page in WordPress under this address, and all front-end Civi pages will use this page, rather than the front page. So if you make it 'civi', your link will become http://renovatedsm.org/civi/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/contribute/transact&reset=1&id=2.
