Hi
We have set up individual civicrm users to have access to contacts in a specific group. We need to allow the civicrm user to add contacts and ensure that this new contact is added to his group. I haven't figured out how to do this. Any suggestions?

I don't know if this is possible. But last week we have been working on an trigger/action extension which probably could do this. This extension is in a very beta phase right know and not yet ready for community use because we have been developing this for one specific client but in our minds a broader use.

There is an "add to group" setting in the "advanced settings" of a profile. Thus if someone fills out this profile, they will be placed in a group of your choice.

A few months ago, I wrote an extension that allowed to set a default group for new contacts, but I finally didn't use it in production so I left it in alpha/beta version. You can take a look at it at https://github.com/amnesty/autogroupassignments, just in case it can be useful for you.
