CiviCRM Migration to WordPress - Synch Databases Question
April 15, 2014, 10:11:02 am
Hi,

I have recently migrated a Drupal site that had 1338 members into a WordPress site.

At this point, some weeks later, the still live Drupal site now has 1345 members, and many of the older members have made contributions and extended their memberships.

Is there a way to extract the new and updated membership data from the live site's CiviCRM database and import it into the WP development CiviCRM database?

Perhaps with PHPmyAdmin? But which tables?

Thanks for your help!

Dave M

There is no automated way to do it, and i suspect doing so via PMA might be error prone

Your best bet will be to write a script to compare various objects that you suspect might have changed and try to duplicate it via the api in the new DB.

its a fairly non-trivial problem, IMO

Thanks again, Donald, for your response. Was hoping you had a trick or two up your sleeve.  I have an idea that I'm trying. I'll let you know how it goes.
