Is anyone else having this problem? Some of our users are unintentionally entering trailing blank spaces after first or last names when adding new folks via the new individual profile available of the event participant registration page.   once the trailing blanks get in, it's hard to retrieve the person.

I'm thinking this shouldn't be allowed to happen, that the profile code should trim away these blank spaces.

I wonder if that should happen in the BAO or DAO layer? I can't personally think of a situation where you would want leading & trailing spaces

As an administrator I agree that trimming leading or trailing spaces would solve some of the problems we get.  Sorry it is only vocal support, not an offer of money to fund it.
