Bringing custom CiviCRM data fields to the new user registration
May 29, 2007, 10:09:42 pm
Hi, I'm sure someone can help with this question.
I'm setting up a site where volunteers will be able to register and provide information about themselves and their availability to volunteer.  I've created the custom CiviCRM fields successfully.
I know how to add custom fields to user registration through Drupal, and I have the correct custom CiviCRM fields, but how do I enable newly registering users to fill out their custom CiviCRM data during registration?  Do you tie the Drupal custom fields to the CiviCRM fields?  Am I thinking about this the wrong way?

Many thanks.

Addendum - I read http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Drupal+Access+Control, and have checked off "access all custom data" for anonymous users, but what next?

You don't mention anything about creating profile with your custom fields - did you do it?

Please check profiles manual at http://documentation.civicrm.org/

Thx,
