Batch exporting participant's files

HI,
I'm desperately looking for an option of batch exporting / downloading files, which were attached to a CiviEvent submission to an event. Of course, I can go into each and every single submission and find the file, but having an export function I would have assumed, that at least the value of that field would be more than an id, but instead a href link to the particular file.
I was hoping that the export to xls extension would offer something similar, but unfortunately not.
Does anybody have a hint for me how I could go about that?

At this point your best bet would be to write a custom extension to do this.

You might want to check and see if you can do this via views (if using drupal). I'm not sure what views does for custom file fields, but improving that code might be a good alternative

Hm, interesting, didn't think of the views way on drupal. And yes, using drupal. Will post again on the result

Nice! That actually works well! Just have to create a nice view now with filter options for the single events, so they see exactly what they want to. Thanks for the advice!
