We received a warning to update to latest Drupal 7.27 release - is it safe to upgrade?

Didnt see any related updates for CiviCRM.

That is a core drupal upgrade requirement - no expected impact - i have never seen a core drupal upgrade trip up a civi install

I'm not applying it until modules have updated.

  • Modules which use custom Ajax form page callbacks require updates for Drupal 7.27
This is expected to affect several popular modules such as Field Collection (issue) and Hierarchical Select (issue), although only in cases where the form widgets provided by those modules are exposed to anonymous users.
  • Modules which provide alternative page cache implementations require updates for Drupal 6.31 and Drupal 7.27
This is expected to affect modules such as Boost and Authcache.
  • form_set_cache() now validates the passed-in form build ID
This is not expected to affect most sites.

Setting expectations: Drupal and CiviCRM are different software, and do not co-ordinate their update schedule or release announcements.

Check version compatibility between Drupal and CiviCRM each time before you upgrade, but this generally affects only major releases: 6.x vs 7.x.  Upgrade Drupal as you see fit.  Discuss Drupal modules at drupal.org, find a CiviCRM consultant at http://civicrm.org/providers
