1. it seems that the term" pending" under Particpant Status Options was added into the 2.0 code, therefore the value for "pendng is "5" but if when upgrading there was another status that occupied the value "5" ie. "schedule interview" then , when a particpants registerd for an event, and opts to pay later. the status will now be "schedule interview" instead of pending" .

how do i go about fixing this and have the "pay later" link to another value from the particpatns status list?

i think for the short term u'll need to swap pending and schedule interview.

this is a bug and we should avoid hardcoding option values. if you file an issue we'll try to fix in 2.1 or 2.2
