Schedule Reminders - Treatment of Non-Primary Memberships

When setting up a scheduled reminder related to membership, does the reminder process distinguish between primary and related members?  I.e., do all members (primary and related) get a reminder, or just the primary member?

I believe that only the primary member does.

If you have multiple membership types I would test very carefully to make sure that the reminders go to the person with the permissioned relationship to the org AND people who have an unpermissioned relationship of that kind AND have another membership don't get the notification for the first one but do for the second. When I last looked into this I feel like that test wasn't passing because the second person wasn't getting the either reminder - but that could have changed.

I believe membership reminders are sent to the primary member (household, organization, etc) and to any related contact that has a "permission-ed" relationship with the primary member.

Example: ABC, Inc.  (primary member)
Bob (employee of ABC, with permissionsed relationship)
Sally (employee of ABC, without permissionsed  relationship)

ABC Inc will get a reminder (if the contact has an email)
Bob will get a reminder
Sally will not

As Eileen suggests, test is recommended.
