Issue with civicrm.settings.php file opening via sudo gedit
May 01, 2008, 09:56:19 am
Quick issue that probably has a quick fix.  I've installed Drupal 5.7 and CiviCRM 1.9 on my laptop running Ubuntu locally.  When I try and edit the civicrm.settings.php file via "sudo geedit" it opens but it's blank??  When I open it directly the file is complete but it doesn't let me edit it since I'm not root if I just open it from the desktop.  It's got a large lock icon on it.  Seems like this should be easy to do via sudo but I can't see anything in the file when it opens!!  Help!

This is working now.  For some reason it worked the second time I tried it via "vi" and gedit.  Thanks.
