Logging will be soon considered as stable?
April 22, 2014, 03:30:51 pm
At the demo site (4.4.6), in the Misc (Undelete, PDFs, Limits, Logging, Captcha, etc.) administration page, the phrase:

Code: [Select]
Logging functionality is currently in beta. Please test this feature on a copy of your database prior to using it on a production site
is still being shown.

But I've just seen that this phrase has been removed from the lastest (GitHub) version of this file [1].
Does it mean that we'll consider logging stable? If that's the case, it's a great new! :-)

logging has been around for a while and few site are using it on their production sites,  so yes it is very much stable when used wisely :)

Awesome! I wasn't using it just because of this message but I've tested it in development environments and it worked pretty well. I'll consider activating it in production, too.  :D

Thanks!

I have just turned off loging in a civicrm installation (version 4.4.4) because it caused database errors with installed extension. So I am not sure if it is stable enough. It might be no one is reporting issues on it because it states that it is beta functionality and should be used with care.

We've been using it on about 30 sites for about 3 years. There can be probs with extensions but they can generally be fixed - usually by turning it off & back on again.

We don't run any sites without logging if we can help it but multilingual are the exceptions
